Description 3 field on the consignment list records admission dates of students. A digital copy of this register is available in NTRS 4669.

Function / Content

This series consists of a single student admission register that records information about teachers and students at the Alice Springs Alice Springs Higher Primary School Opportunity Class. Included are date of admission, gender, date of birth, religion, name of student, occupation and residential address of parents or guardian, and remarks. The remarks include information about the date of leaving and the school to which student transferred. The beginning of the register records names of teachers and dates commenced, ceased and location to which teacher transferred. Also recorded in the register are statistics such as annual returns, total number of children in attendance, number of days of attendance, and days the school was open. An alphabetical listing by surname letter including student number is included in the register. Included are entries of students who were residents of St Mary's Hostel, Griffiths House, and the Lutheran Mission. The series was in the custody of the National Trust of Australia NT (McDouall Stuart Branch) from approximately 1991 until they were transferred to the NTAS in 2017.
